Rules & Guidelines

Treatment Competition

  1. Deadline: Entries must be postmarked or received electronically on or before July 1st, 2010.
  2. Each applicant will receive an e-mail notifying them of the writing competition results.
  3. Submitted treatments must be original works, and the sole property of the applicant(s).
  4. We highly recommend registering your treatment with the Writers Guild of America (http://www.wga.org/) or copywriting your material with the library of congress to protect your intellectual property . You can find the link to the US Copyright Office here (http://www.copyright.gov/).
  5. All ages are eligible.
  6. All entries must be in English and between 1 and 15 pages in length.
  7. Under no circumstances will substitutions of either corrected pages or new drafts of the entry treatment(s) be made. Treatments will not be returned.
  8. If a submitted treatment becomes optioned or purchased between the time of submission and the end of the judging period, that treatment will no longer be eligible.
  9. Deadlines Entry Fee (No Feedback) Entry Fee + Feedback
    Early Deadline - June 1st, 2010 $20 $30
    Regular Deadline - July 1st, 2010 $30 $40
    Final Deadline - August 1st, 2010 $40 $50
  10. Treatments which receive early analysis are eligible to resubmit a revision of their previously submitted treatment by July 1st, 2010.
  11. The winner will be announced on September 15, 2010.
